The emergence of COVID-19 has seen requests for our services increase dramatically. With key staff having to self isolate, we now have staff providing cover into July and are providing an average of 9 people per week to authorities.

The increase has seen us grow our full time employees to 5 and we welcome James Webster and Oliver Gidman to the company. James and Oliver are currently undergoing their Cremator Technician training. Once fully qualified, they will be providing interim assistance to authorities joining Melissa and our many associates out in the field.

In such trying times, the company is doing all it can to help bereavement services respond to the challenges at present. In an industry so specialised as ours, staff are uniquely trained and hard to find cover for. We hope the help we can provide manages to calm nerves as we uphold the great standards already set by our clients.

To the bereavement industry, we really are the 4th emergency service.

2019 has been another record year for the company.

Requests for emergency assistance continue to grow; we have been engaged throughout the year by both local authorities and the private sector.

Lee recently completed a five month period as interim registrar for a Midlands authority.

He was engaged earlier in the year in a revenue enhancement study for a local authority and is currently engaged as a consultant conducting a review of operations for a client within the industry.

We continue to be engaged as lead consultants for a new build crematorium.

Lee continues to be in demand as a tutor, having been engaged by APSE several times in the past year. His next two training days are taking place on Tuesday 14th in London and then Wednesday the 4th March in Birmingham.

2018 was another record year for the company and 2019 has started in the same fashion. The growth of the company in the last 2 years has surprised even us.

Melissa is engaged in a 3 month assignment assisting a London authority with technician cover until end of April. The emergency cover side of the business continues to be busy with 3 associates out each week for the next 3 weeks.

Lee has just completed a large feasibility with administrative assistance from Sharon for a Northamptonshire authority for extension to an existing cemetery, a new build cemetery, remote cremation services at a cemetery chapel and a new build crematorium. The study also included a key stakeholder study and need statement.

Lee continues to be busy as a tutor with an engagement last week in Northern Ireland and further tutoring courses in London on 19th March and Manchester on 26th June.

In April Lee is due to begin a 6 month Interim Management role for a Greater Manchester authority and he is lead consultant for a new build crematorium. Planning permission was submitted end of January with a decision due in May.
